An Intimate Colorado Elopement in Silverton
There’s something so special about the decision to travel somewhere beautiful and meaningful to say “I do,” and these two did just that! They traveled to Colorado to celebrate their love in a way that felt uniquely theirs, surrounded by the breathtaking mountain scenery of Silverton.
Their day was absolutely gorgeous, filled with beautiful views, a little Colorado mountain magic, and the kind of moments that make photographing love stories so special. Silverton has such a beautiful way of making you slow down and take it all in, and getting to capture these two together in such an incredible place was an absolute joy.
I’m so grateful they chose Light & Love Photography to be a part of their story and trusted me to preserve these memories for them. Their elopement was a beautiful reminder that your wedding day doesn't have to look like anyone else's. It can be an adventure, an intimate celebration, and a day that is entirely your own.
Keep reading to get to know these two a little better, hear their story in their own words, and see a little more of their beautiful Colorado elopement. 🤎

A Little About the Bride & Groom <3

How did you two meet?
We met when we were both in grad school at Purdue University in Indiana. It was about a year into the pandemic and we were both happy to be out of the house. Our first date was at what is now our favorite brewery.
Tell me a little about your proposal or how you got engaged.
We got engaged in Hawaii (specifically on the island of Kauai) during a muddy hike to a waterfall. It had been raining for days and the trails were mostly empty, so it was very beautiful and remote. I was totally surprised and couldn't have been happier.
What was your favorite part of planning your elopement?
I enjoyed planning our elopement because it was just for us. It was so much less stressful than planning a wedding for 150 people and I really felt like we got to do it exactly the way we wanted. It was perfect!
